Virgin landlines being hacked?

Anyone else aware of this problem?

Began on Friday 13th November as a crossed line and has continued all weekend (but not on every call) seems to be mainly an evening issue. Thought it was just me but am aware of other people having the same problem.

They do live in the same city but about 6 miles away so shouldn’t be sharing the same area box.

Obviously I attempted to report it on Friday but equally obviously no success or response.

Any advice as to whether I should report to OFCOM?

Re: Virgin landlines being hacked?

You just need to report the fault to virgin, they can fix the fault with the exchange them.

Ofcom won't be able to help you with the fault

I work for Virgin Media and my posts are my own opinions

Re: Virgin landlines being hacked?

Have been messaging without reply but thanks.

if I was sure that this was just a crossed line I wouldn’t be concerned but I’m worried that it is a fraud as seems improbable that this is happening in an entire city?

Re: Virgin landlines being hacked?

Good morning @rol

Welcome to the forums, thank you for taking the time to respond to our complaint.

Are you able to advise if you have had a response from the text messaging services?

Kind regards,

Zak_M
