We hope that someone from VM can help as we've spent ages looking for ways to resolve this problem both on line and by phoning customer service. We seem to be going around in circles. We have a full VIP package.
We've had a crackling landline for several months and it has got worse. People are telling us they can't hear us and we can't hear them properly.
We checked our service connections online and there appear to be no issues with the network for our area (Red). We do not have a Virgin home phone handset; only an old BT one.
We're still unclear whether it's the phone line or the handset (and its 2 extensions) at fault. And more importantly, how to resolve it.
Welcome along to our Community and thanks so much for your first post to our Forums; I am sorry that you're having some issues with a noisy line at the moment.
With these issues, they are either an issue with the handset (any one handset connected on extensions or the master socket can cause the noisy line) or an issue with the line coming into the home. The quickest way of checking this is to try a alternative handset in the master (main) socket with no other devices connected. If the line is still noisy then this will more than likely mean that the issue is with the cabling and a technician would be required.
After locating your account from your forum information I can see that we have since been contacted and a technician was booked and has visited - I do hope that all is now working for you. If there is anything further we can help you out with, please do not hesitate to pop back so we may assist you further.
