VM Home Phone - Engaged tone when I try to ring 150 or 03454541111 - other outgoing / incoming calls work

Have an issue trying to ring VM using the 150 or 0345 454 1111 numbers where it's always engaged. I know it's not the phone as I can make outgoing calls to other numbers/mobiles etc without issue, and can also receive incoming calls. All calls are clear ( no noise on the line etc) so I'm pretty sure it's not my phone or the line?

I know I can ring in from my mobile - I tried that yesterday twice and after 45 mins in a queue, the call was dropped both times.

My guess is they are crazy mad busy with people calling to cancel due to their £4.50 a month letters going out this week.

Yes, think you may well be right.  Shame they didn't know it was coming to anticipate the rise in calls ... oh wait ...

You would think that as a telecommunications company, they would be able to manage with 'home working' call centre / support staff as well - the technologies have only been around for the last 2 decades or so ....

I was trying to modify (reduce) my package, which I know I can't achieve through this forum. It looks like many people have the same issues with the 150 number.

I've decided to write to the Sales Operation Support team in Nottingham with the details of the change I wanted so hopefully they can sort it out directly
