Unexplained call charges to mobile phones

Hi

First post here, but this is driving me nuts! We're on a Talk More Anytime bundle package with a monthly charge of usually £67.50. This month the bill has increased to nearly £95 as I have been charged for ordinary mobile calls (07764 and 07783 numbers) for short durations (none more than fifteen minutes).

I'm at a loss as to why this would be with a package that clearly states 'all other UK mobiles'. I've tried messaging with Virgin 'support' but the only answer I got was something vague about 'redialling', when they've just be straightforward, ordinary calls direct from my home phone.

Grateful for any advice

Sorry to hear this had occurred. Were the calls forwarded to a mobile or directly dialled?

They were directly dialled from my home phone.

Hello GeoffAngela

Thanks for clarifying that 

Can I just ask that you check your latest bill to see what Telephone Package you are on 

I know Talk More Anytime gives free calls for up to 60 minutes and charges after that 

But as you mentioned you were only on for 15 minutes maximum

There seems to be a confusion on the bill as to what package we are actually on - we have always been to our knowledge on the 'Talk More Anytime' phone bundle, and our account web page states this. However, on the invoice it states 'Talk Unlimited'. Nevertheless, the longest call made was no more than 16 minutes.

FWIW, I too have noted a discrepancy between the phone package info shown in 'My Virgin Media' and that which appears on bills.

My package has always been 'Talk Evening and Weekends' and this appears on my bills but if I log into 'My Virgin Media' it shows I am on 'Talk More Evenings & Weekends'.

Doesn't explain you being charged for short mobile calls but does confirm your discrepancy between info on MVM and billing. In my case, the billing info shows the package I think I should be on.

Edit: If you are actually on Talk Unlimited, calls to non-VM mobiles are chargeable by the look of it, which may explain your charges.

Hello

One think that may be noted when you say calls to mobiles who was the provider you were ringing i.e. EE, Vodaphone etc, there are 3 providers where it isn't applicable these being Labara Mobile, VOXI and one other not sure who that is this is due to the fact that these providers are wifi mobile providers and not traditional mobile providers.
