Unable to report phone fault.

Trying to report a landline fault is a nightmare.

The chat bot tells me to download whatsapp or to phone. Well the fault is with the phone line so I cannot phone. I don't use a smartphone so whatsapp is no good. All the bot does is repeat itself asking me if I am going to use whatsapp or phone, there needs to be another option for people in my situation.

So far I have tried unplugging the phone and even using another phone but I still get no dial tone. It is a separate line and not through the hub so restarting the hub is not going to work. I am at a loss as to what to try next or how to report this issue.

I am getting sick and tired of keep going round in circles with the patronising help pages.

Welcome back to our Community Forums! Thank you for your post and I'm very sorry to hear that you're having some issues with your landline connection at the moment! 

We understand that you've tested a different landline phone to see if this will resolve the issue, but you're still having problems with your dial tone.

Can you please confirm if you're able to make or receive calls to your landline at the moment? Have you taken a look at our Landline Faults page to see if this can help rectify your issue? If not, please let us know and we'll be more than happy to look into this for you.

I am unable to make calls and don't expect I can receive calls either as there is no dial tone. Unfortunately the help pages are most unhelpful.
