I phoned VM CS today to try to get the home phone voicemail switched off too, but was told it cannot be done. So is that correct? I don’t want the 1571 service but seems odd that it cannot be switched off in my case. Is it because I’m on the new service where the phone is connected to the router, rather than a separate line?

To clarify you should be able to switch off voicemail if possible, how is your service connected?
