Turn off Landline Voicemail

Hi,

I want to turn off the voicemail service on my landline, the instructions on the Virgin website say to call 1571 and choose the option to cancel it, but there is no option for this.

I would like to turn off my voice mail feature (1571) , i have called 1571 to do this but theres no option available. 
Im not prepared to give up a week of my life by doing it through the 150 service. Can anyone help please.
