'The number you have dialled has not been recognised'

Local Chinese takeaway landline is never recognised on my home phone but is always ok on my mobile. Any ideas why?

When you are calling from your landline, are you calling including the dialling code?

Thanks for your help. I tried 02085704251 & 85704251 from my landline phone without success & 02085704251 from my iPhone which always works. It's rather puzzling. It is a takeaway called Chungs in Heston. I asked at the restaurant but they didn't know why I had a problem.

Thanks, you seem to have solved the problem. Perhaps you can tell me what was causing it. I wonder if other customers of the Chinese takeaway are experiencing the problem.

Hello HESTON

It was something to do with the local exchange. 

Without getting too technical, both yours and Chungs number were not routed correctly 

I hope your next orders tastes all the better now its been fixed

If there is any ribs going spare send them this way please

Thanks Gareth for sorting out the routing. If I knew the route to you I would send some ribs. It may save me some time when my mobile phone isn't easily located.
