Telephony shows as disabled

Hi All.

The phone icon on my Hub 3.0 is flashing red and we have no phone dial tone.

I've checked all the connections.

Reset and restarted the hub on several occasions.

Telephony shows as disabled in the router status

I tried calling Virgin Media -  just waiting and waiting until it cuts off

Tried the message option and got no reply.

Any ideas what I should do now?

Thanks. Rob.

Re: Telephony shows as disabled

I believe that is for VoIP phones, not sure if it's only available in DOCSIS 3.1 areas

Re: Telephony shows as disabled

Hi Robv30,

Thanks for posting, I'm sorry to hear that you do not have a dial tone on your landline. I've checked your services from here and cannot see anything that could be causing this, and no issues have been reported in the area.

Are you also having issues with your broadband service at all or no? Can you please also confirm how your handset is connected to your router using the picture below:

Many thanks,

Beth

Re: Telephony shows as disabled

I can’t see any pictures?

The handset is plugged into the router using the adapter supplied. Phone worked until about a week ago.

We have no issue with broadband.

Telephony shows as DISABLED in the router status.

Re: Telephony shows as disabled

Thanks for coming back to us RobV30,

Looking at the diagram provided by @Beth_G, can you tell me if you've used the alternative port on the  adaptor?

It could be a case of a fault adaptor or port on the adaptor. Can you also tell me if you've been able to try and alternative handset to see if this is creating a problem for us?

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Re: Telephony shows as disabled

Hi.

The adapter only has one port but I have tried both telephone sockets on the router.

I don't have another phone to try but as it's hardly ever used I see no reason for it to be faulty.

As I've mentioned before the telephone shows as DISABLED in the router status whether the phone is connected or not - is this normal?
