Telephone

I was advised by a virgin technician to change my land line to a VOIP.

I rang Virgin Media:

1st call I was told that this was possible, but I would have to wait until August for a technician.

2nd call I was told that I should not have to wait for a technician and that my router/hub was already set up and all I needed to do was plug my phone. I tried this and the line was totally dead.

3rd call I was told that it is not possible, that it is called Docsis not VOIP and the network doesn't support this.

Please help.

Technicians can only upgrade the phone line to 21cv/voip/docsis migration if your number is a virgin number and not a ported number.

 

To make a ported number a 21cc/voip/docsis number this has to be set up via the call centre

Thank you for your help.

So are you saying that this service is available?

If so who at Virgin should I speak to, to organise and does a technician need to visit to install.
