Hi all,
Could someone please tell me how my talk weekend package works? My bill shows a charge of £7.21 + vat for just 2 calls I made.
Many thanks,
Nick

Hi @Nickster,
Thank you for your post and welcome back to our community forums. We're here to help.
The charges will be dependent on what kind of calls you made and at what time. You can find more information on Talk Weekends and the respective call charges here.
Thanks,

Hi Zach,
Thanks for replying. So basically, I get charged for calls during the week but they are free weekends? Also, do I get charged if someone phones (me) during the week or only if I make the call?
Many thanks,
Nick

Thanks for coming back to us Nickster, that is correct you would be charged during the week for your calls but they will be free at the weekends, you wont be charged if somebody calls you, the caller would be the person who gets charged.
Kind Regards,

Go to the current document, for the current prices, at
https://www.virginmedia.com/callcosts
which explains Talk Weekends on page 24, Inclusive minutes are Midnight on Friday to Midnight on Sunday. Other charges are as per the other pages in the above document. You are charged for outbound calls from your landline phone where charges are applicable.
Calls to non-Virgin mobiles are chargeable under Talk Weekends as are calls to service numbers.
How is the charge of £7.21 + VAT shown on your bill?
Is it listed as calls to individual numbers with a charge against each call (where you can see the number called) or is it just a total for the sub-50p category of charges (i.e. a single sum and you can't see the numbers called)?
Have you also seen the 60 minute limit on call duration? Calls over 60 min are charged for the excess minutes. You have to hang up and redial before 60 min to avoid being charged. This often causes unexpected charges for customers who are not aware of this limitation.

Hi Steven,
Thanks for replying. I think I understand although I'm also being told that although calls are free at weekends.....Calls to non-Virgin mobiles are chargeable under Talk Weekends? Which suggests weekend calls are only free if you are calling people with virgin mobiles?

Thanks for coming back to us Nickster, we can confirm that is correct. If you follow the link in goslow's post it shows the charges there.

Hi Rob,
That's a shame, all the people I want to call at weekends are on ordinary landlines and not virgin mobiles 😔

We do offer other telephone packages that may suit your usage better Nickster, they can be viewed here.

Not sure you have fully understood this.
Suggest you have a good look at the document about call costs linked above?
Calls to UK local and national numbers starting with 01, 02 or 03 at weekends are inclusive in Talk Weekends, as are calls to VM mobiles.
