TEL. NUMBER PERMANENTLY WITHHELD.

Is it possible to have my voip telephone number permanently withheld, rather than having to use 141?

If so, can you arrange this.

Not sure if the forum team can arrange this but according to the phone guide here:

It can be done if you call VM:

"Permanent Number Conceal
To keep your number private every time you make a call,
just ask our team to set it up for you (even if you’re
ex-directory).
If you do want to leave your number, dial 1470 before you
make the call to override Permanent Number Conceal.
If you would like any of the phone features you’ve
seen in this guide, you can call us on 150 from a
Virgin Media home phone or mobile, or 0345 454 1111*
from any other phone"

If you don't want to call in then one of the forum team should be along in a few days.

I did make a call, after being passed over to three other operatives, each one in turn did not know how to achieve my request.

Sorry to hear that.  The forum team will hopefully be able to do better when they get to this thread.

I was not aware that it could be done until I looked it up and it is probably not a commonly asked for thing, but that doesn't excuse the call center staff for giving you the runaround.

That will be because @Joe_F sent a PM to me and not you.  I have replied to his PM pointing out the mistake but he doesn't appear to have picked it up and I'm guessing is finished for the day. 🙄

I have had a response, in order for the info. to be made available to the Community, I am copying it below.

 "This is now part of a bundle and costs £3 per month, you will also have unknown caller reject,"

This is the case for customers who are on 21CV phone lines (This is when the phone is connected to the hub)
