Switch off call barring?

donhay
On our wavelength

I think I've been a Virgin customer from day one! When we had our landline set up all those years ago I asked for call barring to stop the kids calling mobile numbers.

I believe we pay a monthly charge for this but as the kids have long gone we no longer need this service. I know the phone service has probably changed significantly over the years and we are now on the fibre network. Can I switch off call barring myself? I think there may have been a pin number involved but not sure what that is now. (or how to use it)

I know the first reply will be call CS, but I really don't want to go down that route if at all avoidable!

Hi donhay,

Thanks for your post, and welcome back to our Community Forums.

Unfortunately, we're unable to perform package changes via our Community Forums. As the Call Barring service is a premium landline feature, you would not be able to remove this via your My Virgin Media. Our Customer Care teams can remove this, and it will have a 30-day notice period.

There are various ways to get in touch, which are:

Call: 0345 454 1111
Text: +44753 305 1809

Cheers,

Thank-you Reece for such a quick response.

I'll try a text message first and see how that goes.

No worries at all, donhay.

Please do keep us updated, or if you need anything else, just create a new post and one of our team/community will be happy to lend a hand.

Thanks,

I’ve forgotten my PIN number to cancel call barring. What do I do?

Hey Manny16,

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.
I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your voicemail barring pin. I would be happy to take a further look into this for you but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started.
Kind Regards,
Steven_L

You're very welcome Manny16, glad that we have been able to get this sorted for you 👍

Kind Regards,
