How do I go about switching my landline to use the RJ11 connection on the router rather than the old BT style connection ? When I logon to my router it indicates that Telephony is Disabled but can’t see any option for me to enable this. Following a house renovation we no longer have the old landline connection on the wall so would like to enable this. A Virgin Engineer who came out to extend our broadband cable during this work said that we can just use the router connection for landline hence didn’t bother extending the separate phone line cable.
