Morning,
I've only just had the need to start using my Virgin media telephone line but found the telephone ports on my smart hub 4 disabled. Is there a quick way to enable these without waiting for hours on the phone (chat seems to have nobody available for tech enquiries)
I'm also looking at porting a number from TalkTalk to replace my current VirginMedia number if this is possible

Thanks for your first post and welcome to our Community.
Sorry to hear you are having an issue with the ports on the Hub.
I have had a quick check on the line for you from here., It looks like you are still on the traditional socket and not through the Hub.
Do you have a socket you can test the telephone on?
The Number can be carried over from Talk Talk.
We just need both providers to be active and it takes around 10 days to come over?
Please let me know once you have tried the socket.
I can then pass security and get the line fixed if needed and the number brought over.

Telephone connected to the wall socket gets a dial tone - I've connected a handset to it now

Thanks for those details.
Just to confirm the Hub port is not needed as you are still on the traditional socket.
The number port you requested has been done and it will take 2 weeks from today or 10 working days
Saturday and Sunday not included.
Can you please let me know how you get on.
