Ring Back Help

On our wavelength

We have discovered recently that the ring facility is not working on our land line. It used to be that we could phone a number and if it was engaged, you would get the option to dial 5 and an automated voice would say  "ring back request accepted," we would put the phone down and when the receivers line was free, our phone would ring and we would pick it up and it would automatically dial that number again. 

I phoned Virgin customer services there and the agent didn't seem to know what it was I was talking about. Is this something that can be fixed at my end or do I need to seek further help?

Hey pageyboy, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you are having some calling issues.

I can see the team have done something for you.

We can various add on's such as for  example we can extend the amount of rings on a phone.

But I have been looking into this and if you go page 17 in this booklet it will guide you on how to set this up. 

To note Ring Back When Free is set up to work on geographic landline numbers, and might not work on other types of numbers, such as international and non-geographic (0845 numbers, for example). Thanks

Hi there, thank you for the response.

This was something we used before regularly. However, the facility just doesn't seem to be working at all. I checked the booklet and checked our geographical zone (we are purple). Does that mean ring back is not available? I can only think this happened when we changed from the plugging the phone in at the wall to plugging it in to our modem.

This booklet is for the 21 CV however the geographical zone would still be the same. 

If you are in purple and according this to booklet this mean this feature is no longer currently available right now sorry. 

This could be added in the future though. Thanks
