Rejoined virgin media landline doesn’t work

Hi,

I rejoined virgin media with broadband only and had plusnet for broadband with landline as backup. Since the internet is now more reliable I cancelled plusnet and moved my landline back over to virgin media in March 2022. It hasn’t worked since.

Plusnet came over to check the line as they had piggy backed the landline through the VM box. Saved drilling a new unnecessary hole. They since reconnected the 2 blue cables (solid blue and striped blue) from Virgin Media.

They also replaced the phone socket.

The landline still doesn’t work. The phones work fine with my neighbours. Landline, so it’s not the phone.

is it possible I have been disconnected at the phone box down my street?

If you reconnected your home phone in March, then it won't use the separate physical cable.

All new Virgin Media home phone services are provided by the phone sockets on the back of your Hub.

Thanks! Resolved.

Lucky I found rj11 to rj11 cable. Hooked it up and works fine.

Never really studied the hub and was going off the “traditional” method.

Hi @Jimbobthefirst,

Thanks for your hasty response to @BenMcr's post. I'm glad to hear that you have been able to get the landline up and running when switching to the RJ11 Adapter.
