Recently signed up for a landline. Cannot make outgoing calls

Hi,

I recently signed up for virgin landline and have bought the BT2700 handset, one upstairs, one down. I can dial a number however nothing happens after that? No ringing, nothing. Yes, I have ensured that I have plugged the adapter in correctly. I cannot confirm whether I can take incoming calls as it is a new line (I haven't transfered from BT etc.) so therfore don't know my number. 

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Thanks for your post, welcome to the Community Forums.

I'm sorry to hear you're having some problems with your phone service. I appreciate you said that everything is set up correctly, however are you plugged into TEL port 1 on the Hub?

I've checked this end and everything appears to be OK from what we can see. 

Do you just receive silence after you've dialled the number you're trying to call?

Have you tried performing a factory reset on the Hub?
