Hi, just re-joined VM after a few years on Monday.
Asked to bring my landline phone number with me, but it doesn't seem to have transferred in.
Now I don't use the landline much, but it is used by elderly relatives, so currently they just get a "number not in use" tone
Does it take time for VM to claim the old number?
I spoke to Plusnet on monday evening to check what i needed to do. They cancelled my account on the phone and said that they needed to free the number so VM could claim it.
Oh joy. Where do they get these cowboys from?
I very specifically said that I wanted the old number porting over - he replied "we'll need to cancel it so VM can claim it"
Ha. That ain't going to happen, given the complaint just raised.
