Proof of barring for lost phone

I recently lost my phone and my insurer requires proof of usage which I’ve sent through and has been accepted but they also require proof of barring (a letterheaded document that says my phone has been barred). I’ve contacted Virgin many times and there’s been no help whatsoever. Please can someone help me out with this asap.

I understand from past posts here this is not something that you can provide.  But you can provide an official letter saying the lost/stolen request was made by the customer and advise the actions you have taken to block the SIM via the IMEI number.

Hi siya156,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm very sorry to hear you have lost your handset and for any issues you've had in getting assistance with this.

We would be unable to provide a letterheaded document as per the insurance company request.

As long as the handset was bought from ourselves, we should be able to arrange for an email to be sent to you confirming we have blacklisted the handset and restricted the SIM card and sign it off from ourselves.

I will private message you now to confirm your details.
