Problem porting landline from Virgin to Vodaphone

Hi

I am currently unable to ‘port’ my landline telephone number from Virgin fibre to Vodaphone non-fibre. Each claims the other is responsible for taking porting forward. At the time I cancelled all the bundled tv etc services Virgin said it was up to vodaphone to request the porting, and we must keep paying to keep the line open/active until this happens (£20pcm).  Vodaphone  say Virgin need to be told (by me) to ‘release the number’. We are not moving address. So are Virgin right or is this a scam to keep the cash flowing?

I'm sorry to hear there's been some confusion over porting your number.

 

Aslong as the line is still active with us, there should be no reason why Vodaphone can't ask for this to be ported over.
