I am currently unable to ‘port’ my landline telephone number from Virgin fibre to Vodaphone non-fibre. Each claims the other is responsible for taking porting forward. At the time I cancelled all the bundled tv etc services Virgin said it was up to vodaphone to request the porting, and we must keep paying to keep the line open/active until this happens (£20pcm). Vodaphone say Virgin need to be told (by me) to ‘release the number’. We are not moving address. So are Virgin right or is this a scam to keep the cash flowing?
