Power cut in area left me without a landline

major power cut in my area this evening and I've found it impossible to contact virgin media to report this.  Website pages said everything was fine and when I tried to persist with it still being a problem the pages wouldn't load on-line.  Web chat cut me off because I don't have a virgin media mobile and WhatsApp messaging.  Have raised this as a complaint, simply because when things go wrong the current service is stopping customers from reporting issues

Is there anything showing on the outage checkers?
