Porting my number from TalkTalk

I just joined Virgin, when I sign up the services I ask to keep my old Talk Talk number.

Today was my installation day and when I checked my account I have a new phone number.

Tried to contact customers services via phone unuseful, can someone help me with this.

Talk Talk said Virgin have to contact them to inform them they taking over the number.

Hello

Once you VM line has been activated the number port can take upto 10 days to complete, you will always have a temporary number until TalkTalk complete the port, as long as the line is active and doesn't have a cancellation order on it, this follows the rules from Ofcom.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community 🙂

 

As our community have advised, we'd need to make sure that the line is still active with TalkTalk and that there is no cancellation booked on there.

No, I just contacted Talk Talk to let them know I’m moving to Virgin.

They told me that Virgin need to contact them to let them know that they taking over my number .
