Was told 16th June before number is ported from Now Broadband(Sky), which means I have to keep my services from Sky until then or lose my number, but it was a new contract with Sky that had a cooling off period of 14 days and will then be beyond that and in a full contract, please advise

Sorry to hear that about your concerns with your landline port request. You would need to speak to Sky regarding their process. I would've thought that as you have given your notice to cancel and move to another provider within your 14 day cooling off, this would not incur any early disconnection fees to keep the phoneline active, though you may need to pay for your services up until this point. We would be unable to bring the number port date forward.
