Hi
Recently signed up for broadband and phone, due to be installed 17/09.
Had an email to contact Virgin to discuss porting landline number, current provider is Plusnet (BT).
I called, but the advisor said that there's an error on the system and the engineer would resolve this when they install the broadband to ensure the number is ported.
Is that correct ? I really don't want to lose my current landline number.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.
Usually the number port wouldn't be actioned until the service is up and running and the landline service is working correctly.
As long as there has been a request for it then it will be actioned.
