Port home number

I'd be very grateful if one of the forum team could contact me to confirm my home phone number will port as requested from my old provider to Virgin. The old provider number is still active until tomorrow. I was given a different VOIP landline number by the installation engineer.  Also, does this mean I don't need to pay for a BT landline now?

Hi, I got through on the phone and they have put the request through for me. I just need to wait 10 days for it to replace the number I had been given. Fingers crossed it's that easy.
