Port home (BT) number to virginmedia phone

Hello

I have recently taken on a new Virginmedia home phone.  I have a old BT phone number (via Sky) which is still live.  I would like to port my BT number to the Virginmedia phone and shut down the BT line.  Could someone please help me get this done?
