Poor Quality Since Changeover

The sound quality of my home phone has deteriorated since the changeover from hard wired to broadband. Although still usable, the sound is quieter and sounds like you are talking within a box. I don't use it that often and am not stressed about it, but. Is there anything I can do to improve it?

Hey caveman38, thank you for reaching out and I am so sorry to hear this.

Have you tried to turn the volume up on the handset by any chance?

I would also unplug it and plug it back in to see if that makes a difference.

Please keep us updated. Cheers

OK will try the unplugging idea but I have no volume control tom try. I was hoping that it was a common problem since changeover. Never mind - I rarely use it.

Thanks for replying caveman38.

It might be worth purchasing a cheaper new phone if possible.

I know you mentioned you hardly ever use it.

I have just ran a line test from here and it hasn't flagged up any quality issues.

Please can you keep me posted how the volume is, if you need to purchase a new phone.
