I have been monitoring my home phone answer-machine for an urgent call coming in however I have just discovered that Virgin Media has installed a message saying please call later. How do I turn this off?

Just to clarify please, is this message being heard if the call is not answered instead of going to a voicemail service?

Yes this is the recorded message after 5 rings.

Do you have a 3rd party answering machine or are you using the Virgin Media voicemail service on your landline?
