Had my install Tuesday , had a message they cannot port the number over . Line deactivated. Spoken to ee ,Bt and open reach .They have all said virgin did not request a swap over . If my broadband was installed on the day required then there would not have been a problem but it was delayed by virgin by over a week. One not happy new customer

Sorry to hear your number was not transferred. Is the landline from the originating provider still active? If not, then it may require the number to be reactivated with the original provider as number port requests can only be completed if both lines are active.
This would have happened fine if virgin hadn’t changed my install date by a week . I have been in touch with ee ,bt and open reach but nothing can be done . Had the same number for 37 years now I have to change the number with a lot of businesses and contacts including family and friends just because virgin media did not do their job properly . Not a good start with a new customer .
