[PhoneInAnnexe]

I have a large garden and plan on building an annexe at the end of this garden. I have a broadband package that includes a phone line (voip). I want to use the phone line in the annexe, not in the main building where my VM connection comes in.

I plan on running a long ethernet cable from the house to the annexe, and in the annexe I will have a wifi router with 4 ethernet ports. The long ethernet cable will plug into the router and provide a wifi signal with the option to connect devices via a wire as well.

Is it possible to use the VM phone line in the annexe? Or do I need to run a long RJ11 cable in addition to the ethernet cable

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums. 

I am not going to pretend that I know 100% but I am more than certain that you would need to run the cable along side the ethernet cable - it will need to be direct to our hub into the port for the telephone line.
