Phone line down

Hi,

Since last Sunday (28th August), our home phone line has been down. On the status page it was showing as ‘an issue’, but this was fixed by Tuesday afternoon. As of this morning (1st Sept), no calls can be received and the caller just hears a continuous ringing without going to voicemail.

I can’t seem to book an engineer as there is currently no problem in my area? Either that or it’s very difficult to get to the ‘book an engineer’ screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting. 

I am very sorry to hear of the issues you have been experiencing with the service, we will be able to help. 

I have taken a look from our side and can confirm there are no outages currently logged for your area. 

Can you please confirm if your landline is connected to the Hub or the main socket?

Also can you please check that the cables leading to and from the equipment are secure and without damage? 

If no issues with the cables are found, are you able to check another handset on the line?

Thanks for the speedy reply. All cables are connected and the handsets are working fine. I believe I am having a similar issue to that of another user who has also posted about their phone line being down.
