It might be normal for telephony on the hub to be disabled if VM has not switched your phone connection to the hub as yet.

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums.
I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your landline at the moment, I have been able to look into this on the system and can see that your changeover has not yet been completed. Please could you plug the phone back into your wall socket and let me know, if you still have dial tone and can use the line.

hi I will try that when I’m back home. We were sent emails and letters to say we need to plug the phone with the supplied adaptor on the by the 28th of November.
