Phone dead, but can't get through to arrange engineer visit

Our phone will ring, but there's no one there. Discovered line dead for calling out as well. Rang 150 from my mobile and the automated system assessed a problem on the line and the need for an engineer, said it would connect me to someone to arrange it, then offered to text link (which I didn't need, already having done everything online possible), before terminating the call.
I understand that many call centres are closed, but this is very frustrating. There's no other way to book an appointment with an engineer at present (or so the website suggests). I'd appreciate any suggestions about how to deal with this.

No, there are no service issues tagged on the Faults page. And my phone doesn't go through my hub as far as I know. A few months ago my Superhub was upgrade to the "3" version, but that had nothing to do with the phone.
Just to make clear, When I rang 150 from my mobile, the menu system/autobot? took me through an assessment of my phone (said it was running a check) and said I needed a engineer. This was not the response when I tested it through the faults page. However, something is definitely wrong. Oddly, the phone rings, my phone can say who is calling, but there is absolutely nothing coming through and I can get no dial tone if I wish to make a call. It is a fault on the line as it happens with all our connected phones.
