I am new to Virgin and when I ordered the phone I asked for my telephone number to be withheld on a permanent basis and my telephone number to be ex-directory. I have rung Virgin's call centre 3 times and nobody seems to understand what I am talking about even though I have explained that it clearly states on the Virgin website that 'To permanently withhold your number, our Customer Service team can help you set this up'. I tried raising a complaint and nothing has happened from this either. Does anyone know what I can do please?

I'm sorry to hear you've had a lot of trouble trying to make your number Ex-Directory and to have a permanent withheld number. This is something which we can certainly help with so I do apologise if you were advised otherwise.
