POTS ports behind HUB3

Quick question

we have the phone service with Virgin and there are two POTS ports behind hub3 - the phone connected to POTS 1 works -however can we connect another phone (handset) to POTS2?

Do both POTS ports emulate the same tel line? This will save me rewiring if it does...

Re: POTS ports behind HUB3

no the 2nd port is for a second phone line.
If you only have one only the first port is active

Re: POTS ports behind HUB3

Hi imi, thanks for contact us. The phone would plug in to a white adaptor where there is a phone symbol on the back of the hub. You would not be able to connect more than two ^Chris.

What we then need is for our extensions to be connected to hub3? How do I go about doing that? there is talk about some kit in another thread linked below...

A VM 'kit' (if that is the right word for it) was shown in this thread and the eariler thread within the link below discusses the connections from hub to home extensions

Re: POTS ports behind HUB3

Thx for all the replies

Finally got it working - both devices connected to the single line & both ring too.

we use a cat6A network throughout the house so needed to use pin 2&5 to get it to work.
