Old telephone Socket

Hi

After 6 months I have re-joined VM.

The landline is now through the Hub 3.0. Is it possible to move it back to the old VM telephone socket?

Thanks

Re: Old telephone Socket

Hello yadesai

Thanks for taking the time to contact us in regards to your recent install and the landline set up. We appreciate you taking the time to raise your question via the forums.

With all new installations we're using the Hub as the connection for the landline service, we wouldn't be able to change this I'm afraid.

Thanks

Rob

The landline connection via the back of the hub is the method for all new installations. VM refer to it as 21st century voice (21CV).

All providers are moving towards this method by 2025 when the existing phone network is due to have been decommissioned.

Is there a specific reason you wanted the landline socket reinstating?

Re: Old telephone Socket

Thanks for the info.

I have now used the spare pairs from my cat6 vdsl extension to feed the telephone back to the original socket from the hub 3. Seems to work as normal.
