In December 2019 Virgin Media disconnected our landline in error. The number had been ported from BT when we moved house a couple of years ago.
When the line was reconnected we no longer had our old number.
After many, many phone calls and a couple of visits by engineers Virgin informed me that the only way to recover the old number would be to have a BT line installed.
This I did. When I contacted BT and Open Reach they informed me that in fact Virgin was refusing to release the old number.
It seems Virgin has been lying to me for the past for the past six weeks. I want this to be resolved and I do not want to have to deal with the Indian call centre.
Virgin has failed to exercise the exercise the reasonable care and skill of a competent service provider.
Very sorry to hear this had occurred, I will look into what's occurring with that number.
