Re: Nuisance calls

Is the call from a known individual or company or the same number each time?

Or are you referring to the general scam calls from autodiallers which everyone receives and which use fake caller ID?

Re: Nuisance calls

The call is from the number identified as the BT landline text messaging number  08456021111- probably being used as a  scam as there is no one likely to contact me in this way - now phoned 9 times in 12 hours - clearly on auto dial

Re: Nuisance calls

What happens when you answer one of the calls? Is it a text message converted to voice message? What is the message about? If so, I believe you can turn off that feature on the landline.

Could be a number of explanations inc. faked caller ID for a scam call, spam call via text message, someone mistakenly trying to send you a text but accidentally using your landline number.
