Noise on line

There is a constant crackling noise on our line

We did think it may of been the old telephones that we had and so purchased new ones, however the issue is still there

Can you please help with this issue

You should report the fault yourself, phone (if the line useable - 150) or text:

and wait for a reply.

Welcome to our community and thanks for posting. Sorry to hear you're having issues with our landline, we appreciate the inconvenience caused when a noise appears on your line.

 

You advised you have already purchased new equipment to test, so this has eliminated that your phone equipment is not causing the issue. Have you unplugged all extension sockets and just tried the handset in the master socket?

 

Please can you let us know so we can assist your further?

Yes I have tried everything and theine is plugged straight into the wall socket

Thank you for confirming this for us.

 

Can we also please confirm if this is calling or receiving calls or both? Also, does this occur when you're calling different numbers or one kind of number (mobile, landline etc)? Finally, is this constant noise or does this fluctuate?

The noise is constant no matter what type of call but is a lot worse when we receive international calls

All sorted now and thank you very much for the persistence with this matter

Apparently the issue was at the exchange and must have been affecting more than just us

I would like to also mention the professionalism of your employees who visited to complete this fault always very helpful and kept us up to date
