Re: No one turned up between noon & 4pm

Not received a PM.

Can’t use home phone to make/receive calls because line is so bad.

Can’t use mobile to make calls until Saturday because I have used up 300 minutes on my Virgin mobile because landline is so poor.

Can’t take another day off work waiting for an engineer.

Can’t wait for August when I can cancel without penalty. Every month a different problem.

Re: No one turned up between noon & 4pm

Apparently, someone did turn up but could not get access. I question how could they not gain access?

I was in the house from noon - 4pm and was looking out from a room with a view onto the street.

No one turned up.

No one rang my bell.

No one called on the phone, neither the landline or the mobile. Why not? It's not as if Virgin don't have both my numbers as you provide the service and I got 4 text messages checking I still wanted the appointment.

I had a delivery from Ocado during that time and they called me on the phone, so I was able to receive calls even if the line was crackling.

Is there any proof anyone turned up?

Re: No one turned up between noon & 4pm

There wasn't even a "we missed you" note put in the letter box.  Are you going to charge me for missing the appointment?

https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/the-legal-stuff/priceguides

Missed Appointments

If you miss or prevent installation or maintenance from being carried out at a time we have agreed - with you in advance, or if you fail to tell us that an appointment is no longer required by 12pm on the day before the appointment, you may be charged a missed appointment fee.  From March 2019 you will be required to tell us at least 24 hours before the appointment or you may be charged.
