My landline, which I need for working-from-home, has gone dead, no dial tone, though when I dial the home number from my mobile I do get a ring tone. I have tried alternative wall sockets to no avail, but I can't test if it's the handset as I don't have a spare handset (or any other means) and can't run out to the shops... The Virgin website says there is no current problem with the service in our area of north London, and I've tried to run the online test from the site but the link goes dead with an 'Oops'-style message. Any help/advice gratefully received.
