The landline phone connection is not working. We keep getting service updates for the fault that move the time of repair back several hours - this has been going on for about 4 days for our home phone. Now it actually says the repair is fixed - but it isn't ! The phone line is dead. Has anyone else had this problem and can someone help please? The fault code is F008368659 but it now says the repair is complete, but it is not and has been going on for days !! Thanks.

I've located your account using your forums details, upon checking I can see there is an SNR area outage under reference F008223283 with an estimated fix date of 7th September, this however would only affect the broadband and TV service.
Can you please confirm what happens if you try to use the phone? Noisy line/ no dial tone? Are you able to test a different handset?
An engineer came out and repaired the phone fault at the main cable box for the area. I was without a phone line for six days. The automatic fault reporting system was poor as it kept saying there would be a fix but no one was actually doing anything to sort the phone line. So I had to ignore that and book an engineer.
