No landline on 2nd phone

Can connect to main landline phone, however when connecting to second landline phone, a BT Graphite 2100, it states `no line'

Hello

How are these phones connected as if you are connecting to the hub only the 1st port Tel 1 is active, unless you have a contract where you have two phone lines / numbers ?

Both existing connected phones come using a BT supply via Vodafone network and split inside the house, also have the same number.

If I run cable from top port in router as instructions indicate, the first phone (standard BT Red one) connects ok. If I then connect that to the BT Graphite 2100 phone, it shows `no landline' in screen. I am only connecting one phone at a time so contract for 2 phones should not apply I would have thought?

Hello

So if one phone works in the port then quite clearly that points to the 2nd phone as faulty in some way or isnt compatibile with the 21CV phone system.

Sort of thinking that too, however wanted to check if there was a possibility of an adaptor or something to that effect before purchasing new double handsets.

Hi Macadoo, 

Sorry you're having some issues with this. 

 

I'm afraid the extension lines won't work with the new set up through the hub. 

 

We don't send out extensions but we can come and install one for you, however this would involve a few wires and won't look as neat as it would have with the previous set up.

Lines do work with the new set-up just needed the end connections changing.
