No landline since midday. My neighbour alerted me who also uses Virgin. Service status for my area (SK10 3NH) indicates a problem with TV but telephone is working. Clearly wrong.

Really sorry to hear that you've been having some issues with your landline today and your neighbour, this isn't good.
I've had a look at the back end of the account and we've raised this further to see what's going on and if there is a confirmed outage, as soon as I hear back I'll be in touch.
Just checking in to let you know that the landline issue has been raised under the reference F008602658 and it is due to be fixed by 5pm today.
Any issues after that do let us know and we can have another look.
