My elderly parents switched left Virgin for Sky, then came back because they didn't get on with the Sky interface/remote.
Internet and TV work fine but their landline has not come back.
They've had multiple visits by technicians who've confirmed everything 'should' be fine and just get told to wait another 24/48hrs/etc for something or other, but nothing happens.
How can they/I reach somebody or escalate the issue to somebody who will take ownership of the issue until it is fixed ?

Is there a dial tone at all on the landline?

Hi, no ring tone and if I call their number I get the long unobtainable tone

They did get a temporary number for a few days, which worked, but then that died too
