When I call the landline from my mobile, it just drops dead after three “engaged” tones.
The first thing I did was to check any area issues online but none was identified.
Next, I tested it with an old corded phone, and the result was the same.
I can make outgoing calls from both home phones but I only tested to call my mobile number.
All this time the line is in the wall socket.
I saw other posts talking about adapters but I have not heard anything about it from VM.
I did not find any customer service number that I can call or chat. Can you help please.

Hi @Mimi1230, thanks for reaching out to us and a warm welcome to the Virgin Media forums.
I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the landline services 😞
I've had a look and I can't see any indication to say that you have been moved over to the new VOIP line.
There is an issue with the broadband / TV side of the network - an SNR issue, which is a signal to noise ratio issue, that is to be fixed on the 30th of November, but this does not affect the landline services you have, as you have mentioned it is through the traditional wall socket.
With it only allowing outgoing calls and no incoming calls, it would indicate an issue as you have tried another landline and on my end it would indicate that this needs further investigating.
I will send a private message - watch out for the purple envelope inviting you in.
Kind regards,
Ilyas.

Thank you @Mimi1230 for our chat today.
As the issue has initially improved, we shall continue to monitor the line from both ends to see what occurs over the next few days.
Hope to hear from you soon 🙂
Kind regards,
Ilyas.
