No home telephone

I have had no phone for days now. I have borrowed a mobile as I don't own one. I am a pensioner and live on my own. I have mobility issues so if I have a fall I can't call anyone. Can someone please help?

Good morning Carley, this is to let you know that my home telephone is up and running again. The engineer came last week and because of the bank holiday said it would probably be connected today, and it is.

Thank you for your help. I can't say I am impressed with Virgin's customer service but you have personally been very helpful.
