No dialtone

Hi guys we can take calls on the landline but have no dialtone sounds a bit like an open line but like I say we can still take calls.

Done the usual unplugging but still the same. 

Free for an Engineer on Friday the 5th November if that's any good ?

Hi no we can’t no dial tone however we can receive calls.

Sorry for jumping in on this John but there may be more of a problem than you realise.  Fault F009417298 was supposed to be cleared on midnight 30/10/2021.  Although the dial tone is back it is an intermittent problem so the initial fault is still not fixed.  I really can't go through the help desk again as there is a good possibility I could slash my wrists in the process after spending nearly an hour with someone who seemed to be learning on the job.  This is on area 03 so if the original poster is not in this section I apologise for confusing the issue.
