No dial tone

Since engineer came before xmas there has been no dial tone. No luck on support as it takes over 24hrs to reply and by then I am at work and not at home (which support wants me to be). Someone from virgin just rang me at work asking whats wrong with broadband speed (thats fine BTW) Bit miffed and then the phone was put down on me! Anyone able to help me get a phone (after 3 weeks of no line) thanks
